  20. Escom lost more money as a percentage of sells than Apple and has far less
  21. capital.  There have ben alpha versions of Copland released.  We haven't seen
  22. anything but press releases about the PowerAmiga. As poorly as Amigas

  31. Copland won't be necessary to rescue Apple.  PMT will no more save Apple 
  32. than it did OS/2 or the Amiga.  Why do you think PowerAmiga + AmigaOS will
  33. eclipse Apple when 68K Amigacould never eclipse the more expensive 68K Macs?

  35. You do realize without Apple, the PPC chip doesn't hae a chance in the 
  36. market, don't you?  Motorola and IBM aren't selling as many PowerPC based 
  37. computers as even PowerComputing.  No one else cares about the Amiga besides
  38. a few Amiga users.  While IBM and Motorola both have licenses to produce 
  39. Macs and three other companies already produce Mac compatibles.  That's 
  40. not even including Apple's partnership with Sun and Hewlett Packard in 
  41. producing Macintosh Application Environment .

  50. The kludhes of the AmigaOS is the very thing that has kept it tied to 
  51. archaic hardware.  But no one cares solely about the OS.  People buy systems.
  52. THe Macintosh platform - hardware, software, and third party support puts 
  53. the Amiga platform to shame.
